Patricia Ann Hatfield

Patricia Ann Williams Orr Hatfield, age 82, of Perryville, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2025. She was born February 8, 1943, in Perryville, Arkansas, a daughter of Delbert Williams and Mildred Cox Williams. Most of the world knew her simply as Pat, but for a lucky few, she was Mom or Grandmother. For all who knew her, she was a shining example of strength, perseverance and love, sprinkled with a quick wit and dry sense of humor that seemed to come out of nowhere, just at the right time. She faced many adversities in her life, from the loss of her mother to cancer when she as just a child, where she assumed the responsibility of taking care of her family, to, in her youth, raising 4 children on her own, working a grueling job and schedule so she could provide them a life, to many losses of loved ones gone to soon. Things that could have crushed a person, she took in stride and thrived. Instead of creating darkness, it created the light of a servants heart. Pat truly lived for her family. They were her strength, and she was theirs. Her refrigerator was splashed with the photos of her life; kids and grandkids, events and milestones, each a testament to her love of family. They were her pride and joy, their images were a gentle reminder of a life well lived. And her life was well-lived! She was an avid hunter and outdoorswoman and never passed up an opportunity to get out in nature or go on a hunt. Her zeal for the hunt generated many stories, from shooting a buck with her last bullet, then taking off her shirt to tie it to a post so it wouldn't get away until she could get back, to turkey hunting and having a bear stalk her in her blind where she watched and waited for him to actually look in at her, using her last shotgun shell to luckily save herself. In her latter years, she found great joy in quilting and the company of the "Busy Bees" as they generated quilted works of art and shared each other's lives over each and every quilt. One of her last outings was to put her 'Stitch' on their last quilt together and visit her friends one last time. Pat brought her light to every life she touched, and it would be her wish for you to spread that light to the world. She is survived by her daughters, Kim (Charley) Murphy of Springfield, Missouri and Kerri (Charles) Shackelford of Red Oak, Texas; seven grandchildren, Kacey Senteno, Bret Massey, Denver Durham, Kaleb Murphy, Devon Orr, Tristen Carden, and Dalton Shackelford; eleven great-grandchildren; brother, Jim (Dianne) Williams of Perryville; sister, Debbie (Tommy) Park of Perryville, Arkansas; and a numerous nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Hatfield; daughter, Kelli Carden; son, Kevin Orr; and great-grandson, Thomas Barnett. A celebration of life will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 1, at the Perryville First Baptist Church with Tommy Park officiating. A private burial was held at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Perryville First Baptist Building Fund or Diane Wilson Senior Center.
