Nancy Kaye Koontz Dold

Nancy Kaye Koontz Dold, age 60, of Oppelo, Arkansas, passed away Monday, May 27, 2019. She was born July 31, 1958 in Beaumont, Texas, a daughter of the late Karl Keith Koontz and the late Nancy Sue Bearden Gray. Nancy began dating her husband Richard when they were only 14 years old. High school sweethearts, they married 42 years ago at St. Elizabeth Church. Nancy was a homemaker extraordinaire and was passionate about making all things beautiful. She was a talented decorator, seamstress, and cook who loved tending her flowers and spoiling her dogs, Sasha and Sugar. Above all else, all Nancy ever wanted to be was a mom and later Nana to her 12 grandchildren. She most enjoyed spending time camping, boating and sharing her love for baking and sewing with her grandchildren. Her affection for Sonic Diet Vanilla Cokes was unmatched and she kept her cabinet fully stocked with chocolate bars and smarties. Nancy and her husband Richard were proud that their four children graduated from Sacred Heart Catholic School and all 12 of their grandchildren now attend as well. She left this world surrounded by her children and husband who loved her dearly. She is survived by her husband, Richard Dold; children, Alisha (Kevin) Dold Koonce, Kimberly (Josh) Dold Moore, Joseph (Becky) Dold, and Amie (John) Dold Widner; grandchildren, Leah Moore, Isabella Moore, Emma Dold, Savannah Koonce, Mason Dold, Gabrielle Moore, Sydney Koonce, Parker Dold, Landon Dold, Rylee Widner, Grant Koonce, and Addison Widner; step-mother, Shirley Koontz; mother-in-law, Louise Dold; brothers, Benny (Paula) Koontz and Kenny (Kay) Koontz; sisters, Juanise (David) Zimmerman and Kathy (Lynn) Edgerton; step-siblings, Mike Gray, Dickie Arruda, Becky Harper, and Vicki Arruda; and numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, and nephews. She is preceded in death by her step-dad, Charles Gray, and father-in-law, Hubert Dold. Funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 30, at the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church with Father Richard Davis and Msger. Jack Harris officiating. Burial will be at St. Elizabeth Catholic Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Rosary will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, at the Harris Chapel with visitation following.
