Louise Hayes

Allie Louise (Moudy) Hayes, 98, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday morning, January 7, 2026, with loved ones at her side. She was born September 25, 1927, in Belleville, Yell County, Arkansas, to Roscoe and Addie Moudy. Louise was the devoted wife of World War II Army veteran Grady F. Hayes, a retired educator, and a lifelong homemaker who cared deeply for her family and community. Louise was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Morrilton, where she faithfully served for many years. She sang in the church choir, led a Sunday School class, and was often found working in the church kitchen—always ready to serve others with a warm smile. She was also a longtime member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Adelaide Club of Morrilton. Louise and Grady were married on May 6, 1949, in Mansfield, Arkansas, and shared 49 years of love and partnership until his passing in 1998. She is survived by her three children: Ronald F. (Ola) Hayes of Monticello; Mary Beth (Dan) Wilbourn of Searcy; and Roger (Melissa) Hayes of Morrilton. She leaves behind seven grandchildren: Scott Hayes, Stacy Hayes Childers, Ryan Wilbourn, Allie Wilbourn Clark, Corey Hayes, Lee Hayes, and Kyle Hayes; along with numerous other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. She was blessed to meet the fifth generation of her family—a living testament to the loving legacy she leaves behind. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grady F. Hayes; three brothers; one sister; and their spouses. Services for Allie Louise Hayes will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Harris Funeral Home in Morrilton, with visitation beginning at 12 p.m. and funeral services at 1.p.m. A graveside service will immediately follow at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Jerusalem, Conway County, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be her seven grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to First Baptist Church of Morrilton, Arkansas. The family would like to give a special thanks to Hospice of Central Arkansas as well as her dedicated caregivers Lora Hartswell and Nadine Bryant.
