Kyle Matthew Thomas

Kyle Matthew Thomas, age 25, of Solgohachia, passed away Saturday, May 18, 2024, after his short hard-fought battle with cancer. Kyle passed from this world at home surrounded by his family, friends, and canine companion Ruffus. Kyle was born April 15, 1999, in Conway, Arkansas, the son of Jessica Wallis and Kevin Thomas. In 2017, Kyle graduated from Morrilton High School, having played on the offensive line as a Devil Dog and loved football. After high school Kyle graduated from the welding program at the University of Arkansas Community College at Morrilton. He never looked back working as a Mill Wright, welder, and marrying his high school sweetheart Haley. Kyle loved his work family at Nabholz Industrial Services where he has many friends. Kyle loved to hunt, fish, and play video games as he and Haley started their lives. He was a loving husband, son, brother, and grandson, and will be missed by so many. On May 18, 2014, Kyle was baptized and became a member of Lonoke Baptist Church. He recently told his family he was ready to meet Jesus wondering if he would like his Sponge Bob pjs. Kyle is survived by his loving wife, Haley Hill Thomas; his parents, Jessica and Bryan Wallis, Kevin and Jacquee Thomas; brothers, Aaron Thomas and Caleb Wallis; sisters, Ally and Anna Cannon; grandparents, Rick and Louise Fitzgerald, Tommy and Shirley Wallis, Ralph and Jackie Thomas, and Teresa Johnson; as well as Trisha and David Hill, Brayden Hill, and Zach Hill; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, coworkers, and friends. He made us all smile and laugh and will be missed by all. A funeral service and celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 23, at the Harris Chapel in Morrilton with family, friends, and Pastor Josh Edwards of Lonoke Baptist Church officiating. The visitation will be Wednesday, May 22 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Plumerville, Arkansas following the service. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Pallbearers will be Aaron Thomas, Brayden Hill, David Fitzgerald, Daniel Thomas, Jake Fitzgerald, and Alex Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Rick Fitzgerald, Tommy Wallis, Ralph Thomas, David Hill, Eric Wallis, David Thomas, and Jeremiah Thomas. Thank you to our friends, family, and coworkers for your love, prayers, help, and support during his illness. A special thank you to CARTI, Abby and Tracey of Gentiva Hospice for your love and support during Kyle’s battle.
