Juanita Miller (Utley) Owens

Juanita Miller (Utley) Owens, age 81, of Dover, Arkansas, departed this past Monday, January 31, 2023, after a very brief, courageous battle with Leukemia. She was retired from UACC of Morrilton, Arkansas where she was a beloved and favorite instructor/mentor for years but most importantly she was a beautiful, kind, loving mother, grandmother, and loyal friend to so many. She loved her family, friends, and books, was an avid reader and lifelong learner until the day of her passing. Her best friend and constant companion was Amigo, her devoted rescued Catahoula dog. She lived every day with gratitude towards all. She was born November 24, 1941, in Guthrie, Oklahoma to the late Walter and Katherine Miller. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by two siblings, Louise Reed of Texas and Bill Miller, Jr. of Oklahoma. She is survived by one sister, Lucille Reuss, and nephew Mike Reuss of Atlanta, Georgia, and four children and numerous grand and great-grandchildren: son, Russell Utley (Linda) of Dover, grandchild, Amanda and Jim Reves, and great-grandchildren, Zoe, Taft, and Kick, grandchild, Justin and Korina Utley, and great-grandchildren, Rozlyn and Brett, grandchild, Amisha Smith, and great-grandchildren, Ashton, Bear, and Bunny, and grandchild, Brent Brown, and great-grandchildren, Blake and Reid; daughter, Nancy Keeling (late David Keeling) of Dover, grandchild, Tanner and Ashleigh Keeling, great-granddaughter, Genevieve, grandchild, Tatum Keeling; daughter, Donna Utley Teeter of Fort Smith, grandchildren, Dr. Jacob Teeter, Katherine (Katie) Teeter, and Lt. Forrest and Bennett Teeter; son, Dan Utley of Dover; and former daughter-in-law, Robbie Utley. Cremation arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Per her request, there will be no public services or viewing. Memorials may be made in memory of Juanita Miller Owen to the Dover Public Library, 80 Library Rd, Dover, AR 72837 or any animal rescue of your choice. A special thank you to Dr. Webb, Dr. Muldoon, Dr. Sager, the staff of Genesis Cancer and Blood Institute of both Hot Springs and Russellville, and the ICU staff of St. Mary’s Hospital of Russellville. And to special friends, Buck Powers, Mitchell Daniels, and the many, many others who filled her life with joy.
