Juanita Sue Butler

Juanita Sue Butler, age 80, of Perryville, was born on May 27, 1946, in Modesto, California. She peacefully entered her eternal home surrounded by the love of her family on July 17th, 2026. Juanita was preceded in death by her beloved husband Glenn Butler of 48 years, whom she married on September 11, 1964. Where they made a home together in the Thornburg Community. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Aubrey McDonough and Emilie Oaks McDonough, and her brother, Leonard McDonough. She is survived by her sisters, Francis Magie and Inna McDonough; her three devoted daughters, Carrie (Brad) Tubbs, Melissa (Tommy) Young, and Michelle (Greg) Steinsiek; her eight cherished grandchildren, Amber (Fred) May, Brady (Brianna) Young, Lane (Chelsey) Tubbs, Emilee (Bryce) Geissel, Sammie (Christian) Schoeppey, Joe (Kylie) Phillips, and Collin and Claire Steinsiek; and her nine treasured great-grandchildren, Olivia, Carter, Gracen, and Kyndall May; Brayleigh and Barrett Young; Bennett and Charlotte Tubbs; Jamie Geissel; and two more on the way. Her family was the greatest joy of her life, and she loved each of them with unwavering devotion. Juanita dedicated many years to serving her community through her work. She began her career at the Conway Human Development Center, where she worked with children with disabilities, showing compassion and care to those she served. She later spent 20 plus years as a bank teller at Perry County Bank before retiring from Acxiom Corporation, where she worked as a receptionist. No matter where she worked, she was known for her kindness, warm smile, work ethic, and genuine care for others. Above all else, Juanita was a faithful Christian woman whose love for Jesus Christ shaped every aspect of her life. She was truly a Proverbs 31 woman, embodying strength, dignity, wisdom, and a heart devoted to serving others. Sharing the message of salvation was woven into nearly every conversation she had, and her faith was evident in the grace, and compassion she showed to everyone she met. She was a fierce protector of her family, a voice of wisdom and reason, and a constant source of encouragement and unconditional love. Juanita embraced life’s simple joys. She loved dancing with her sisters, listening to music of every kind, and often talked about someday learning to play the drums. She found peace sitting on her front porch watching the wildlife, enjoyed spending time watching her children and grandchildren playing sports of all kinds, and never passed up the chance to browse every clearance aisle she encountered. It was these simple pleasures, along with her infectious smile and loving heart, that made her so unforgettable. While her family grieves her absence, they find comfort in knowing that Juanita’s greatest hope has become her reality. She is now in the presence of her Savior, whom she faithfully served throughout her life. Her legacy of faith, love, kindness, and steadfast devotion to her family will continue to live on through the generations she leaves behind. “Well done, thy good and faithful servant.” — Matthew 25:23 Visitation will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 21, at Harris Funeral Home. The funeral service will follow at 10:30 with Bro. Jason Guffey officiating. Burial will be at Volman Cemetery. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
