Dorothy Lee Guinn

Dorothy Lee (Reynolds) Guinn, age 94, of Cleveland, AR, passed away peacefully on January 28th, 2025, at Hospice Home Care, Little Rock, AR. She was born February 2, 1930 in Higgins Township in Paw Paw Bend at the foot of Petit Jean Mountain. She was the eldest of six children born to Walter Roscoe Reynolds and Mable McCoy (Joslin) Reynolds. In the spring of 1947, she met Edgar Guinn and they were married October 25th, 1947. They spent almost 69 years together working side by side on the farm raising cattle and chickens plus lots of other jobs. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Edgar Guinn, parents Walter and Mabel Reynolds and brother, Kenneth Reynolds of Colorado. She is survived by two daughters, Joyce James (Randall) of Beebe, AR, Wanda (Leon) Waters of Solgohachia, AR. Siblings, Lorene Denham of Morrilton, AR, Melba Eoff of Morrilton, Betty Evans of Williamsville, MO and Benny Reynolds of North Little Rock, AR, Carol Dawon sister in law of Little Rock, AR, Grandkids, Sonda Guinn of Morrilton, Nathan Waters (Megan) of Conway, AR, David Barnwell (Amanda) of Fishers, IN, Stephanie Batson (Michael) of Beebe, AR, Nick James of Conway. Great Grandkids, Cheyanne Hoelzeman (Zakk) of Solgohachia, AR, Charlee & Deacon Barnwell of Fishers, IN, Alexus Waters of Dothan, AL, Peyton, Blazelynn, & Ethan Waters, Conway, AR, Brandon Snelson (Diana) of Letona, AR, Jackson Snelson of Cabot, AR, Laura Snelson of Beebe. Great great grandkids, Taylor and Owen Snelson. A host of nieces and nephews, friends and family. She was a homemaker and a person who loved to be outside. Mowing her yard was her favorite hobby along with gardening, flower beds, reading and camping. She enjoyed her time with family and friends. Grandkids remember “the goodie bags” she provided when they left to go home. She will be laid to rest February 3, 2025 at Lost Corner Cemetery, Cleveland, AR with Bro. Tommy Miller officiating her service at 2:00 p.m. at Harris Funeral Home and Bro. Cary Condray at the graveside. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Pallbearers will be Nathan Waters, Zakk Hoelzeman, Glen Brandon, Michael Batson, David Barnwell, and Steve Davenport. Honorary pallbearers will be Leon Waters, Charles Barnwell, Randall James, and Jimmy Burnett. Instead of flowers, Dorothy’s family ask that donations be made to the Lost Corner Cemetery through Petit Jean State Bank, PO Box 680, Morrilton, AR 72110.
