Trudy Ruth Brents

April 25, 1955 - April 10, 2022

Trudy Ruth Norwood Brents, age 66, of Jerusalem, Arkansas, peacefully went to be with our Lord April 10, 2022. She was born April 25, 1955, the only daughter to Boyd and Virginia (Rowell) Norwood. She was preceded in death by her father, Boyd Norwood and one daughter, Tamra Ruth. She is survived by her mother, Virginia (Rowell) Norwood; one daughter, Katie (Patrick) Hartman of St. Vincent; one son, Strap (Leigh Ann) Brents of Jerusalem; and five grandchildren; Jennifer, Anamarie, Kolton, Caroline, and Audie. Trudy was employed by Robert Redfern and Company in Atkins, where she worked for more than fifteen years. She valued the friendships she made with her colleagues and customers, and enjoyed keeping her friend, Diane, in tow. Trudy enjoyed traveling during the fall with her dear friend, Jane McClaren. She enjoyed driving through the mountains and riding scenic trains. The family would like to thank her lifelong friend, Glenna Schmidt, for all her unconditional love and the precious time she spent with Ms. Trudy. Also, to her wonderful caregivers; Rhonda Bryant and Shirley Whorton who were amazing through this time. Memorial service will be 6:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 13, at the Harris Chapel with Deacon Steve Mallett officiating. A visitation will be following the service, at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date at Mt. Zion Cemetery in Jerusalem. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be offered in honor of her grandchildren who were “the light of her life.” She loved attending all of their activities and being a special part of their lives.
