Rettie Jean Cody Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Rettie Jean Cody, age 72 of Adona, Arkansas passed away, Friday, May 13, 2022. She was born June 17, 1949 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Cloys Wougamon and the late Freda Barnes Wougamon. She was a Homemaker and of the Baptist faith. A loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, her daily devotion was to love, care for, and provide for her family in anyway necessary. She was a very hard worker. The first to arrive and last to leave. She led by example, anything you do you do it to the best of your ability. If it passed the mustard with her, you can bet it was done right. She enjoyed hunting, running dogs, playing dominoes with friends and spending time with the grandchildren. She’ll never be replaced and forever missed. Survivors include her husband of 52 years, Dean Cody of Adona; son, Jim (Tracy) Cody of Adona; brother, Ira Lee Wougamon of Adona; grandchildren, Dustin (Amanda) Cody of Rose Creek, Tyler (Charly) Cody of Nimrod, and Tori (Cody) Rainey of Rose Creek; great grandchildren, Troy Cody, Alyssa Cody, Aleah Cody, Jayce Cody, Olivia Cody, Kora Rainey, Avalee Cody, and Klara Rainey. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Freda Ann Eubanks and brother-in-law, Gerald Eubanks, and great grandson, Rhett Cody. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 17th at Grace Baptist Church in Adona with Bro. Gene Tanner and Bro. Dustin Cody officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at the church. Pallbearers will be, Dustin Cody, Tyler Cody, Cody Rainey, Tony Wougamon, Timmy Wougamon, and Jim Maxwell. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Troy Cody and Jayce Cody.
