March 30, 1934 - October 1, 2021
On October 1, 2021, we said goodbye to Mary Ruth Beck Moll, 87, of Plumerville. Mary Ruth was born on March 30, 1934, in St. Vincent, Arkansas, to John Sebastian and Helen (Nellie) Gangluff Beck. She married Harold Moll, her loving husband of 68 years, on November 26, 1953. Mary Ruth was known by all to be a loving wife, mother, nana, and aunt. She was a devoted member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and the Sacred Heart Alter Society. She volunteered at Sacred Heart Catholic School as a classroom aide, on the playground, and in the cafeteria. She served as the secretary/treasurer of the Conway County Cattleman’s Association and when her children were young, she was a girl scout and cub scout den mother. She enjoyed homemaking and loved making holiday meals, especially homemade pastries and chocolate chip cookies. She loved to sew and design fancy dresses for her two daughters and five granddaughters, as well as sew Army patches onto uniforms for her husband and brother-in-law. Her passion was reading. She learned to read before she started school and never quit. Mary Ruth always supported and prayed for her family and friends. Her loved ones will always remember visiting her home and being welcomed by beautiful flower beds, a warm hug, a homecooked meal, and homemade desserts. Her strength and faith were unparalleled. She was quick-witted and a one-of-a-kind, selfless woman who touched the heart of every single person she met. She will be greatly missed, but in true Mary Ruth fashion she left her loved ones a poem by an unknown author to help them remember to celebrate her and all the times shared together. “To Those I Love” When I am gone, just release me, let me go—so I can move into my afterglow. You mustn’t tie me down with your tears; let’s be happy that we had so many years. . . . It’s only for a while that we must part, so bless the memories within your heart. And then, when you must come this way alone, I’ll greet you with a smile and a Welcome Home. Mary Ruth leaves behind her husband of 68 years Harold Francis Moll; son Harold David Moll and Agnes Moll of Springdale, Arkansas, and their family – Matthew Moll and Kellee Moll and their children Tyler Moll and Preston Moll, Sarah (Moll) Corwin and Benjamin Corwin, and Ethan Sebastian Moll; daughter Susan (Moll) Brown and Edward Brown of Stuttgart, Arkansas and their family – Amanda (Brown) Kamada and Ron Wessels, Kimberly (Brown) Douglas and Alex Ayala, and Meghan (Brown) Capps and Seth Capps and their children Connor Beck Capps and Rowan Capps; and daughter Janis (Moll) Horn of Morrilton, Arkansas and her family – Brittany (Horn) Pettingill and Brent Pettingill; and numerous, beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and 10 siblings – Herbert Beck, Bertram Beck, Helen Beck Hanson, Beatrice Beck Hartman, Jeanette Beck Higdon, Naomi Beck Ness, Leon (Shorty) Beck, Juanita Beck Jendras, Norma Beck Rohlman, and baby Anthony Beck. A rosary and visitation are being held in Mary Ruth’s honor at Harris Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 5, followed by a funeral service at Sacred Heart Catholic Church and burial service at Sacred Heart Cemetery on October 6. Pallbearers are Matthew Moll, Seth Capps, Brent Pettingill, Benjamin Corwin, Ron Wessels, Bobby Hanson, and Pat Hanson. Honorary pallbearers are her great grandsons Tyler Moll, Preston Moll, Connor Beck Capps, and Rowan Capps. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations may be made to Sacred Heart Catholic Church or Sacred Heart Catholic School in Morrilton, Arkansas.
