Louis “Big Lou” Allen Carroll Sr., age 67, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, January 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. He was born February 23, 1953 in Lake Village, Arkansas, the son of Melvin Carroll and Junita Tanner Carroll. Louis was married to Vickie for 48 years, a true partnership full of love and friendship. He was her everything, the love of her life. For the last 25 years he ran his Auto Detail shop and truly enjoyed it. He attended the First Baptist Church of Morrilton. He was full of life, love and so caring for others. He never met a stranger. He was a character. He could be goofy, ornery, and maybe even a little stubborn at times. Louis had a big heart and loved unconditionally. Louis was a hard worker, he stayed busy even if it meant finding and looking for away to help others. He loved the outdoors; hunting, rebuilding antique cars are just a few things he enjoyed. His true love was family, if you knew him then you know how much he loved each one of them. They were his rock. God blessed him with a granddaughter Lacey. She loved her papaw. These two were inseparable. He will forever hold a special place in her heart. Louis was giving, supportive, selfless, He was an “Original.” Survivors are his mother, Junita Tanner Carroll of Louisiana; wife, Vickie Payne Carroll of Morrilton; son, Lou (Londa) Carroll of Morrilton; three granddaughters, Lacey Carroll of Morrilton, Hannah (Seth) Moore of Bee Branch, Alli (Gilberto) Garcia of Conway; great grandson, Coy Moore of Bee Branch; six brothers, Gene (Joyce) Carroll, of Mulberry, Ben (Janie) Carroll of Little Rock, Preston (Mary) Carroll of Bryant, Clint Carroll of Redfield, Ricky(Robbie)Carroll of Louisiana, Kenny Carroll of Oklahoma; three sisters, Elva (Larry) Louisiana, Sarah (Donnie) Barthol of Louisiana, and Elizabeth (Dewayne) Moreau of Oklahoma; Numerous nieces, nephews and many friends. Other than his father he is preceded in death by two brothers; Gary Carroll, and Ronnie Carroll. Graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, February 8, at Lost Corner Cemetery with Bro. Jeff Crowder officiating. Arrangements are made by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 7, at Harris Funeral Home Chapel. Pallbearers are Tim Payne, Michael Payne, Tim Mourot, Ricky Horn, Eric Payne, Kyle Payne, and Harold Williams Jr.
