Lonnie Fay Wilson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Lonnie Fay Wilson, age 90, of Center Ridge, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022. He was born February 16, 1932, in Center Ridge, Arkansas, the son of William Thomas Wilson and Ilda Flowers Wilson. He was of the Baptist faith and worked with the Auxiliary at CHI St. Vincent Morrilton Hospital. He served in Vietnam and Korea and received a good conduct medal, two air medals, and an aircraft crewman badge while serving in the Army. Lonnie loved his family, friends and was the life of the party. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 66 years, Mary Louise Tarble Wilson of Center Ridge; three sons, Lonnie (Margie) Wilson, Jr. of Wisconsin, James (Sharon) Wilson of Plumerville, and Charles (Lisa) Wilson of Center Ridge; daughter, Oralea (William) Kellner of Greenbrier; a host of grandchildren; great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, Robert (Mary Rose) Taylor of Hattieville. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Geneva DeSoto; brother, Frankie Wilson; sister-in-law, Thelma Wilson; granddaughter, Crystal McCoy; and great-grandson, Aiden Staggs. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, July 9, at the Harris Chapel with Chaplin Will Doughty officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Hill Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home. The family would like to say Thank you to Hospice Home Care Staff.
