Larry Wayne Hogan, age 78, of Plumerville, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021, surrounded by his wife and children. He was survived by Billie Jean Bean Hogan his wife of 59 years whom he dearly loved. He is also survived by his daughter, Karen Wimberly (Eric) and his son Ken Hogan (Sheila) of Greenbrier, nine grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren who sincerely adored him as their number one Pawpaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse (Snag) and Glady Hogan, and his brother Noel Hogan. Larry was a very special person to many. He was a simple, honest, and hardworking man. He was a very passionate outspoken person for the things and people that he loved. He was a genuine person who loved to smile and visit with people. He loved traveling and seeing new places, especially the mountains and nature. His charm, wittiness, and smile always made everyone feel so special, loved and welcomed. He truly had an appetite for life and all you can eat catfish. Larry was a person of many interests. He worked as a supervisor at Frigidaire in Conway for 42 years where he made many very special friends. He served as a deacon at the First Baptist Church of Plumerville for many years. He loved the outdoors where he spent countless hours tinkering on all of his old equipment, mowing with his zero turn mower, riding his tractor and four wheeler, and working in the yard and garden. He loved hunting and fishing where he was known as a legendary crappie fisherman. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to all who will be greatly missed until we are all together again someday. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 13, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Wes Brown, Bro. Jack Bean, and Bro. Mike Jones officiating. Burial will be at Republican Cemetery near Greenbrier. The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:30 p.m. Thursday, at the funeral home.
