Jimmy Howard "Bo" Davidson Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jimmy Howard “Bo” Davidson, 85, of Plumerville, Arkansas, was welcomed by Jesus Christ into his eternal home on Monday, March 28, 2022. He was born March 29, 1936, in Hillcreek, Arkansas, to the late James Cicero and Mable Clara (Morgan) Davidson. Bo was saved at a young age and a member of Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years where he was ordained as a deacon. Bo was preceded in death by both parents; brothers, Jack, Bill, Shorty, and Doyle; his wife of 65 years, Ila Davidson; son, Steve Davidson; and granddaughter, Kayla Jo Biggers. Left to cherish his memory are his two #1 daughters, Nancy (Jimmy) Hart and Judy (Gus) Biggers, both of Springfield, Arkansas; daughter-in-law, Kathy Davidson of Little Rock; nine grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; sisters, Barbara Davidson of Morrilton and Peggy Smith of Hillcreek, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Faye Davidson of Conway, Arkansas and sister-in-law, Wilma Branton of Sherwood, Arkansas. Serving God, loving family and nurturing friendships were priorities throughout Bo’s life. His personal relationship with Jesus provided the foundation that nurtured and sustained a 65-year marriage with the love of his life, Ila, and his three beautiful children. Bo served his career as a USDA Federal Meat Inspector at Petit Jean Meats in Morrilton, Arkansas for 40 years. He devoted himself to the brotherhood of Free Masonry and was a dedicated member of the Plumerville Masonic Lodge #253 where he served in various offices. Bo was honored to serve a term as Chaplain of the Grand Lodge of Arkansas and was a 32-degree Mason. He enjoyed sharing farm life with his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren through experiences on his “Little D Ranch”, camping, hunting, and bowling trips. Bo’s quick wit and infectious sense of humor brought joy to all. His memory will be treasured and his legacy of love, laughter, and loyalty will live on through those who have been touched by his humble life. “Blessed is the one who does not walk in step with the wicked, or stand in the way that sinners take, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the Lord.” Psalm 1:1-2. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, at Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Todd West and Bro. Jesse Hales officiating. The burial will be at Kilgore Cemetery. The visitation will be one hour prior to service, at the church. Pallbearers will be Todd Hart, Kevin Hart, Greg Hart, Josh Jackson, Justin Mayor, Eric Benson, Brandon Thornton, and Will Jackson. Honorary pallbearers will be Jimmy Hart and Gus Biggers.
