Jeremiah James Story Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Jeremiah James Story, age 21, of Oppelo, Arkansas, passed away on Wednesday, June 22, 2022. He was born April 25, 2001, in Conway, AR, a son of James Story of Bigelow, Mandy Story of Conway, and stepmother Cindy Story of Batesville. Jeremiah was a correctional officer for Perry County Sheriff’s Office. He was of the Baptist faith and a member of Riverview Baptist Church where he loved serving the Lord. Jeremiah graduated from Bigelow High School in 2020 where he ran track and played football. After high school, he served in the Army National Guard. Jeremiah loved his job, and in his spare time he loved fishing, hunting, and spending time with family and friends. He is survived by his parents, his grandmother Gloria Lyons, his grandfathers Carl McGhee of Russellville and Jessie Lyons of Adona, sister Patience Brewer (Nathan) of Center Ridge, sister Charity Story and brother Dalton Story of Batesville, brother Brandon Story of Bigelow, and a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Dalton and Malla Story, of Houston. Funeral services will be at 2:00 Tuesday, June 28, at Perryville First Baptist Church with Bro Mike Atkinson and Bro. Colby Crow officiating. Burial following at Volman Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Matt Mayo, Chance Morgan, Chaze Story, Dustin Story, Eric Story, Dalton Story, Ricky Whisehant, and Aidan McGill. Honorary Pallbearers are Jacob Lyons and Nathan Brewer.
