Jeffrey Duane Nixon, 60, of Morrilton, passed away Monday, Oct. 7, 2019, in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents, Larry and Margaret (Wolfe) Nixon. Jeff was born October 4, 1959, in Lynwood, Calif., and was a member of the Downtown Church of Christ. He is survived by his sister Linda (Don) Fulkerson of Morrilton; his brother Randall (Shiela) Nixon of Chilgok, South Korea; nieces and nephews Amy (Robb) Williams of Cabot; Sarah (Darren) Freeman of Conway; Elena (James) Hill of Pollard; Val Lopez of Sherwood and fiancée Afton Brickman of Maumelle; Erin (Trevor) Hirby of Conway; Sofia Nixon and Padric Nixon of Chilgok, South Korea; eight great-nieces and great-nephews; a host of close friends; and three cats. Jeff was a 1981 graduate of Harding University. He was a former art director at a Little Rock advertising agency and was a self-employed graphic designer at the time of his death. Jeff loved baseball and served as a volunteer coach for several teams during his lifetime. He was an avid fan of the Los Angeles Dodgers. The funeral service will be held Monday, Oct. 14, at 2 p.m. at the Downtown Church of Christ in Morrilton with George Hulett Jr. and Keith Lape officiating. A private burial will take place at later date. The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 13, at Harris Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Phil Davis, Rod Leslie, Trevor Hirby, Richard Boyd, Jeff Dobbins, and Brian Cooper. Honorary pallbearers are Ronnie South, Jay Craig, and Chad Maupin.
