James “Jim” Albert Fildes, age 85, of Perryville, passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was born December 21, 1936 in Dowagiac, Michigan, a son of Harry Fildes and Elizabeth Yax. He was a truck driver and of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Helen Tuttle Fildes of Perryville; daughter, Jennifer (Dannie) Mason of Perryville; siblings, Betty Kelli of Michigan City, Indiana, Jerry Trucks of Wichita, Kansas, and Shirley Boughton of Perryville; and grandson, Paxton Mason of Perryville. Other than his parents, he was preceded in death by his daughter, Dawn Elizabeth Fildes. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. Sunday, January 16, at the Harris Funeral Home. Private burial will be at a later date.
