Claudia Vaughan, age 76 of Atkins, passed away Thursday, October 22, 2020. She was born August 16, 1944, in Morrilton, Arkansas, at St. Anthony’s Hospital a daughter of the late Claude Leigh and Frances Brady Leigh. She graduated from Morrilton High School Class of 1962, and retired from the banking business after 40 years. She loved spending time with her daughter Brandy and her grandchildren Jacob and Mia. Survivors include her daughter, Brandy Lemley Pitts and husband David of Atkins; step-daughters, Suzanne Mears of Dover, Cheryl (John) Flippo of Pottsville; sister, Sara (Steve) Thomas of Hattieville; grandchildren, Jacob & Mia Pitts of Atkins; step-grandchildren, Lance (Danielle) Mears of Russellville, Jordan Mears of Little Rock, Shelby and Sydney Flippo of Pottsville; nephews, Eric Erickson and Michael Thomas. Other than her parents she was preceded in death by her sister, Llewellyn Erickson and nephew Brad Thomas. Memorial graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 26, 2020, Elmwood Cemetery with Darwin Barnhouse officiating. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
