Reba Marie Charton

Reba Marie "Robinson" Charton, age 83, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, December 27, 2017. She was born February 14, 1934 in Center Ridge, Arkansas, a daughter of the late Archie H. Robinson and Velma Hogue Patton. She was a member of Lonoke Missionary Baptist Church for over 60 years, an active member until recently. She served as church clerk and taught Sunday school for many years. She worked for Oberman Manufacturing aka Levi's. Reba worked in the Pharmacy Department of Morrilton Hospital for many years before attending Morrilton Vo-Tech where she obtained her LPN License. Several years later she continued her education and received her LPTN which was a degree in Psychiatric Nursing. She helped her husband, Toke on the farm, as needed. She began work at UACCM in the early 70's as a Nursing Clinical instructor. In later years, she became the facilitator for the RN program. In 2015, after 45 years of employment, she retired at age 81. Her hobbies were: crocheting, sewing, ice cream socials with the Charton family, camping, push mowing, watching Matlock and Andy Griffith, and anything with her grandkids. She loved her children and adored her grandchildren and then her great-grandchildren. Many times she would say, "I don't know where I would be if it wasn't for Toke, the Charton family, and the Lord guiding me." She is survived by her daughter, Rhonda Finton of Morrilton; daughter-in-law, Mary Charton of Bryant; grandsons, Tristan (Chelsea) Charton of Colorado, Jeff (Faith) Hudnall of Indiana, and Eric (Tosha) Hudnall of Malvern, Arkansas; granddaughters, Amanda (Josh) Charton of Bryant, Arkansas, Shannon (Brannon) Finton of Oppelo, Arkansas, and Tracy Finton of Conway, Arkansas; brother, Benny Robinson of Little Rock; great-grandchildren, Hayden Hudnall, Emily Hudall, Blakelynn Hudnall, Maddisyn Hudnall, Jack Pinto, Andrew Pinto, Guppy Bryant, and Jayden Cook; lifelong friend, Wanda Wells of Tuckerman, Arkansas; and numerous nieces and nephews. Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Afton (Toke) Charton; son, Terry Charton; great-grandson, Blaykin Bryant; and special friends, Ed and Glenda Andrews. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, December 30, at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be at Campground Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday.
