Raymond Adolf Briggler

Raymond Adolf Briggler, 82, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away on July 16, 2026. Born in St. Vincent, Arkansas on September 8, 1943, Ray was the youngest child of Ernest and Katherine Briggler. Ray was a loving husband, devoted father, and trusted friend. His life was rooted in faith, family, and service to his country and his community. Ray married the love of his life, Linda Fuller Briggler of Hattieville, Arkansas on November 24th, 1967. Together they created a loving home where they raised their three children, C.V., Lore', and Greg. A dedicated public servant, Ray worked for over 30 years at the Arkansas Department of Emergency Management bringing aid and assistance to Arkansans in times of crisis. He was a member of the Arkansas Emergency Management Association. Ray was a fierce patriot and proud veteran with 25 years of service in the Air Force and Arkansas Air National Guard, retiring as a Senior Master Sergeant. He expanded programs like the Community College of the Air Force which enabled Guard members to earn college credit for their service. As a veteran, he was a member of American Legion Post 16 and Catholic War Veterans, Alfred Smith Post 4, leading programs to honor our veterans on Memorial Day and Veterans Day. A dedicated and devout Catholic, Ray was a member of St. Joseph's Church where he served as an Usher and in the Senior Saints. He was a member of the 4th Degree in the Knights of Columbus, Council 4143, serving on honor guards and leading programs fostering the spirit of patriotism. He received the Knight of the Year award in 2024 in recognition of his valuable service. He loved clocks and watches, which was appropriate to his generous spiritual gift of time to his friends, family, and community. He was proud of his Swiss heritage and made many trips to his ancestral village of Visperterminen including a lifelong wish to share Christmas there with his whole family. Ray is survived by his beloved wife of 59 years, Linda Fuller Briggler; his son, C.V Briggler, and wife Stephanie; his daughter Lore' Briggler Hopkins, and husband Jerry; his son Greg Briggler, and wife Katarina; and his sister Rose "Rodie" Rohlman. He is also survived by his cherished grandchildren Tristan Briggler, Sarah Briggler, Nathan Hopkins, Bailey Hopkins Lickfelt and husband Peyton, Harry Briggler, Simon Briggler, Adam Briggler, and Veronika Briggler. A rosary and visitation will be held at St. Joseph's Church in Conway on Tuesday, July 21st from 6pm to 8pm. The funeral will be held at St. Mary's Church in St. Vincent on Wednesday, July 22 at 10am followed by a burial with military honors at St Mary's Cemetery.
