Mary Sue Deaver

Mary Sue Deaver, better known to all her family as Nanny, has gone to be with her heavenly father surrounded by her husband and family on June 30, 2024, in her home. She was born in the Portland Bottoms in Plumerville, AR, on March 18, 1937. Nanny was a devout Christian, the most gracious, kindhearted, loving lady. All that knew her, loved her. She married her childhood sweetheart, Billy Farrell, “Papa Dear”, November 15, 1952, at the young age of fifteen, and they have been inseparable since then. They built their life together in Plumerville, AR. Nanny was a wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and homemaker. She took care of everyone and most of all she took care of Papa. She always laid his clothes out for him and especially on Sunday mornings. When he was farming, she made sure that he was taken care of everyday before going to the field. Getting up before daylight to fix his breakfast, and it was not a pop tart: it was bacon, biscuits, gravy, and eggs, and then she would have lunch ready at 12 o’clock on the dot! You never walked into the house without the first thing her saying, “you want something to eat, or drink?”. Everyone else’s needs and concerns were always above her own. She is preceded in death by her Parents Calvin and Sylivia Nichols Whitfield, her sister Sylvon Harwood, and her grandson Doug Deaver. She is survived by her husband, Billy of 72 years, two sons, William (Greta) Deaver, and Randy (Beverly) Deaver both of Plumerville, AR, and one daughter, Connie (Mark) Clark of Havana, AR. Five grandchildren Doug Deaver, Elizabeth (Adam) Black of Damascus, AR, Hope (Deaver) Fuller of Plumerville, AR, Robert Deaver of Plumerville, AR, and Lee Ann (Chris) Tucker of Morrilton, AR. Eight great-grandchildren Trustin (Baylee) Deaver, LynnLee (Garrett) Spears, Clark McElrath, Hayden Black, Gracie Deaver, Railee Beth Black, Clyde Fuller, Floyd Fuller, and one nephew, Matt Harwood. Her husband and family would like to extend their sincerest thank you for all the texts, calls, food, and prayers that every one of you have given to us over this last year, and during this time of grieving. To her Hospice Team: THANK YOU for your care during her time with Hospice until she was called home!!!!!!!! Pallbearers: Robert Deaver, Trustin Deaver, Adam Black, Hayden Black, Chris Tucker, Clark McElrath, Garrett Spears. Funeral services for Nanny will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at Harris Funeral Home Chapel in Morrilton, AR with Bro. Lonnie Edwards officiating. Burial will be at Plummerville Cemetery.
