Kathleeen "Kip" Elizabeth Oliver

Kathleen “Kip” Elizabeth Mourot Oliver, 55, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away on February 27th, 2026. She was born February 23rd, 1971, in Little Rock, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Kathryn Baldus and Danny Mourot. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic High School and St. Joseph High School. She then earned her bachelor’s degree at the University of Central Arkansas and her master’s at the University of Arkansas Little Rock. Kathleen worked as a case manager, where she formed lifelong friendships and touched countless lives. She found deep joy and purpose in serving others. Kathleen had a love for basketball. She grew up playing the sport. A tree with a basketball net nailed into it started it all for her. Not only did she play, but she also went on to coach her own daughter. Kathleen would drive hundreds of miles to watch her daughter and nieces play. If she wasn’t watching it in person, she was at home watching it. Her passion for the game was constant and contagious. Kathleen also loved Tim McGraw. If you mentioned him, her eyes would light up, and she would go on and on about him. Her favorite song was “The Cowboy in Me”. She also had a love for all animals, especially horses and dogs. Kathleen and her sister grew up showing horses. Within the past ten years, she got two special dogs: Gus “bug” and Gizmo. She always joked about how she loved her dogs more. She would take them on rides in the car with the windows down blaring Tim McGraw. Most importantly, she had a love for God. She was a daughter of Christ, and her faith carried her through life. She was known for her generous and loving heart. She never hesitated to help someone in need and found great joy in the friendships she built along the way. She was a loyal friend, a devoted mother, and a faithful servant. Survived by her son, Daniel Oliver; her daughter, Rylee Oliver; her sister, Angela Koone (Mike); her nieces, Heather Zinser (Brandon), Emily Barsamian (Barrett), and Katie Mullins (Hunter); her family friend, Kathleen Smith; along with great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and many friends. A private graveside service will be held. Kathleen loved yellow roses; however, in lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Sacred Heart Catholic High School Booster Club. John 16:22: “Therefore you now have sorrow; but I will see you again and your heart will rejoice, and your joy no one will take from you”. Death is not final; we hold onto the promise that we will see her again. We take comfort in knowing she was welcomed into the arms of our Lord. Kathleen’s legacy will live on through her care, strength, and faith she instilled on everyone she met. Private services will be held at a later date.
