Gene Edd Tilley Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

View Video Tribute Edd Tilley, age 58, of Morrilton, passed away Wednesday, January 16, 2013. He was born December 21, 1954 in Morrilton, Arkansas, a son of Roy Eugene Tilley and Josie Harris Tilley. He was the widower of Mary Burns Tilley, worked in the Automotive Industry, and was a member of Morrilton Baptist Temple. He was an avid hunter and gardener who enjoyed most outdoor activities. Gene Edd also loved spending time with his kids, teaching them life lessons during their times outdoors. He is survived by his sons, Andrew D. Lively (Carrie) of Greenbrier, Andrew J. Lively of Morrilton, and Charles Tilley (Kari) of Hillcreek; daughter, Laura Clark (Jon) of Greenbrier; brothers, Clyde Tilley of Perry, John Tilley, and Mike Tilley(Allison) of Morrilton; sisters, Athalene Gilbert of Morrilton, Mary Marie Eckland of Wichita, Kansas, and Wanda Parks of Houston; fourteen grandchildren with two grandchildren on the way. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Allen Tilley, George Tilley and Jena Lee Tilley, and one sister, Annie Heflin. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 19th at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Kenneth Strickland officiating. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, at the funeral home.
